Many people see Canada as a smaller, less exciting version of USA but these thoughts are normally of those who have yet to visit the country. It has so much to offer visitors and whether you choose to go in Winter, Spring, Autumn or Summer, you will not be disappointed. Canada is very different to USA but it is these differences that Canadians love and thrive on.
The summer months are the best time for tourists to visit unless you want to ski, and then obviously winter is the time to go. When choosing your flights , consider what kind of weather you want, the south is generally warmer than the north so again if its heat you want, look to fly to one of the Southern cities such as Toronto or Montreal. If you go during the summer months there are certain festivals that you should try and go to; The Montreal Jazz Festival in late June and the Ottawa International festival in late July always attract a lot of visitors and is definitely worth a try. The Caribana is one of the biggest festivals in Canada; it is held in Toronto in July and consists of Caribbean style music and dancing.
Winter is still a popular time to find those cheap flights because skiing is very popular in Canada, and as well as the vast mountain ranges to practise your skills on there are also winter festivals for you to get the best of both worlds. In September, the Toronto Film Festival which is brilliantly hosted and worth visiting if you are near Toronto in September.
It’s a surprising fact to most people but Canada is the second largest country (by total area), so it’s no surprise that there are plenty of sightseeing opportunities for tourists. There are plenty of museums, parks and theatres to admire and when you add all the nature parks filled with eagles, lynxes, bears and wolves there is something for everybody. Paying for things in Canada is easy if you know what the currency is called, if you are asked for a “loonie” this is a $1 coin and a “toonie” is a $2 coin.
With so much to do in Canada, start searching for your cheap flights to Canada now and you may will pleasantly surprised with the prices.
