The Comeplete Harry Potter Collection
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone free ebooks After being raised in the miserably unfair home of his Uncle Vernon Dursley, Harry practically begins life anew when he discovers that he is a wizard and is invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Among Harrys first-year adventures are making new friends (Hagrid, Ron and Hermione), standing up to the torments of school bully Draco Malfoy, and becoming the star player on his Quidditch team (the favored sport in the magical world).

Harrys life as a Hogwarts first-year is more interesting than that of most attendees, because he is already famous for surviving the attack of the evil Lord Voldemort, who tried to kill him as an infant. Everyone in the wizard world knows more about Harrys family and his story than he does, so a great deal of the book is about Harry growing into his heritage.

By far the most important happening of Harrys first year is unraveling the mystery of the Sorcerers Stone and coming face to face with Voldemort. The Sorcerers Stone has the power to turn things to gold and to give immortality to humans. Voldemort, who lost most of his power in the battle with Harrys parents, is desperate to find the stone and use it for his own evil purposes. He enlists the help of one Hogwarts professor, and in the end, Harry meets both of them in hand-to-hand combat. Of course, Harry wins, but Voldemort is not defeated forever.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

After a particularly horrible summer at home with the Dursleys, Harry cant wait to return to Hogwarts for his second year. Banished to his bedroom, Harry receives a visit from an elf named Dobby, who warns him that he must not return to the school, for great danger awaits him there. Finally, he is rescued from his bedroom prison by Ron and his brothers in their flying car. Despite Dobbys warnings, Harry returns to Hogwarts and stumbles right into the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets.

On Halloween night, Harry, Ron and Hermione find a message painted on a wall that reads,The Chamber of Secrets has been opened. Enemies of the Heir, beware They soon discover that the Chamber of Secrets contains a deadly monster, that it has been opened for 50 years, and that the last time it was opened, someone died. The heir in the message refers to a descendant of one of the schools four founders, Salazar Slytherin, who had an affinity for the dark side of magic.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Harry has spent yet another miserable summer at home with the Dursleys. He cant wait to get back to school at Hogwarts, and he especially anticipating the third-year privilege of visiting the all-magical village of Hogsmeade near the school. The only problem is that he has to get Uncle Vernon to sign his permission slip to do so. Harrys bargain with his uncle over the form backfires when Harry gets angry and accidentally inflates Aunt Marge.

Frightened that he will be under arrest by the Ministry of Magic for the improper use of magic by an underage wizard, Harry tries to run away but is picked up by a magical bus and delivered to Diagon Alley, where he is able to meet his Hogwarts friends and purchase his supplies for the new school year.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Many of the first 75 of this tomes 700-plus pages are spent rehashing the first three books, so about the only new thing readers discover is that Voldemort is on the move again. Meanwhile, Harry escapes his summer imprisonment at the Dursleys to attend the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasley family and Hermione. Thousands of international witches and wizards are gathered at the Cup, and chaos erupts when the Dark Mark (Voldemorts sign) suddenly appears in the sky.

Back at Hogwarts for the fourth year, only a few remain concerned about the Dark Mark. Everyones attention has been diverted by the news of the Triwizard Tournament a magical contest between the wizarding Champions of the three largest magical schools: Hogwarts, Durmstrang and Beauxbaton. Harry is too young to be chosen as Hogwarts official school champion, but someone finds a way to enter him in the contest anyhow. Once chosen, Harry must participate, and it is soon clear that whoever entered him did so intending him harm.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

This is the fifth installment in J.K. Rowlings seven-book Harry Potter series. At nearly 900 pages (and containing more words than the New Testament) Rowlings latest endeavor remains true to her imaginative, unpredictable, Roald Dahlish style, but as Harry matures, so does the nature of the story.

Though more protracted and perhaps less charming than the earliest books, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is nevertheless well-written and engaging. Less blatantly "spiritual" and more character-driven than the recent Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire, Phoenix is still dark from the outset, and families must still navigate all of the spells, sorcery and intense conflict inherent to the series. Written more for teens than tweens, Phoenix finds Harry increasingly sullen and angst-ridden as he faces trials of adolescence at Hogwarts. Parents who allow teens to read this book should be prepared to invest in it themselves. Spiritual snags will make it problematic for many Christian families.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I thought it was definitely the best book in the series. A fantastic ending and quite the roller coaster ride. It was so suspenseful that I couldn't put it down.I picked the book up at midnight and didn't go to bed until 10am (I cried like a baby during Snape'smemories)
I am very sad to see Harry Potter end.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) / J. K. Rowling Ms. Rowling amazes with her spine-tingling conclusion to the beloved Harry Potter series. The plot threads that have developed throughout the previous 6 books resolve beautifully, with a gripping penultimate chapter that will leave you on the edge of your seat
